Description
The narrative of "The Night Agent Hura Watch" commences with a bombing incident. FBI Agent Peter Sutherland, portrayed by the resolutely square-jawed Gabriel Basso, is aboard a train when he observes an individual abandoning a bag as they exit. Upon inspecting the bag, he discovers a bomb and promptly activates the emergency brake, successfully evacuating passengers from the train before the explosion occurs. Despite his heroic actions, he is unjustly labeled a suspect in the bombing and subsequently relegated to a thankless desk position, where he is tasked with monitoring a phone that seldom rings. Sutherland is assigned to the Night Action desk, which entails hours of waiting by the phone each night, only to return home afterward. This phone serves as a direct line for field agents in the event of a grave situation, intended solely for use in emergencies when an agent is unable to contact their handler or suspects they may have been compromised. Sutherland does not anticipate that the phone will ring. However, it inevitably does.
