This year's Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asian Casino Trade Fair and Conference in Venetian Macau from June 4-6, will be attended as a speaker by Udorn Olson, an adviser to a Thai lawmaker on casino legalization.
Alejandro Tengco, the chairman and chief executive of Philippine entertainment game company Pagcor, the Philippine casino regulator, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker on the last day of G2E Asia, according to a schedule available online as of Monday.
Mr. Tengko has been in the news frequently since taking on the leadership role of Pagco. When Pagco reported its own first quarter results on Sunday, the CEO was quoted as saying that the country's eGames division "will be a major source of gaming revenue this year and in the coming years as innovation and technology integration enable us to provide more interest and convenience for gamers."
The appearance of Thailand's Mr. Olson in G2E Asia this year also made headlines. In late March, Thai lawmakers supported a study that recommended allowing casinos in a large entertainment complex proposed in Thailand.
At this G2E Asia, Fredric Gushin, managing director and CEO of Spectrum Gaming Group, will hold a session called Spotlight on Thailand and Middle East on the first day of the event to discuss the potentially emerging new casino market.
G2E Asia was organized by RX and the American Game Association, formerly known as the Reed Exhibition.
Other speakers presented for G2E Asia on Monday include Bloomberg Intelligence's Asia-Pacific gaming and leisure analyst Angela Hanlee, UBS AG's deputy director of research, Daniel Li, an adviser to Cambodia's Commercial Gambling Management Board, and Evan Spytma, chief executive of Hotel Stotenberg in Clark, the Philippines.
The G2E Asia speaker roster also includes Paul Bromberg, senior vice president of research at Spectrum Gaming Group, Praven Choudhary, managing director at Morgan Stanley Asia Ltd, and Vitaly Umansky, senior research analyst for gaming at Seaport Research Partners.
Choudhary's session on June 4 is called 'The Outlook for the Asian Games Market.' The panel called 'Emerging Market Talk' will be attended by Ms. Hanlee of Bloomberg, Mr. Chan of UBS, Daniel Li, and Mr. Spyma of Hotel Stotsenberg.
On the second day of the nearly two-hour conference, the "3rd Asia-Pacific Responsible Game Forum" will be held.
The panel includes Zeng Zhonglu, president of the Asia-Pacific Gambling Research Association, Liu Gang, professor at the Shanghai Normal University, Liu Dayyang, professor emeritus at the Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and Su Guojing, professor at the Asian Responsible Gaming Alliance.
