Description
The Sakura Festival in Chiyoda is held each year between late March and early April in a spot celebrated nationwide for the magnificent view of cherry blossoms: the 700-meter-long Chidorigafuchi-ryokudo Walkway. It is located along the banks of the Chidorigafuchi moat, west of the Imperial Palace. Some 260 trees of the Somei Yoshino and Oshima Cherry varieties are illuminated at dusk, and the Chidorigafuchi boating arena is open until late so that visitors can view the magical sight from the water.
