Description
Unfortunately, Cooper attracts greater attention and suspicion with every move he does because they are progressively more implausible on Sadisflix. By the time it was all over, I was getting irritated with the people around him for their blatant incompetence in letting him escape capture. The acting also suffers greatly from the uncomfortable dialogue. Hartnett does his hardest to portray a deranged killer who hides his true nature behind empathy and sympathy, but in situations that ought to be terrifying, he too frequently comes across as comical. His interactions with the other characters all end in the same way, like a group of actors practicing a scene together; they're passable but ultimately awkward, strange, and uninteresting. In the last act of the movie, Hartnett is able to regain some of his acting skills and gives a poignant and powerful speech.
