Tottenham boss says all squad members are fit to play
Tottenham Hotspur "captain" Son Heung-min is expected to start against Fulham in the English Premier League (EPL).
Tottenham welcomes Fulham to its home turf on Thursday at 4 p.m. ET for the ninth round of the 2023-2024 EPL. Spurs, who are currently in first place in the league, will look to consolidate their lead over 12th-place Fulham.
Son Heung-min is currently second in the league with six goals, behind only Elling Holland (Manchester City). He will look to extend his scoring streak against Fulham.
His availability comes with a question mark. After missing the first A-League match in October against Tunisia as a precautionary measure, he showed signs of discomfort after playing full-time against Vietnam.
"I bumped my thigh slightly in the first half, but it didn't affect me. It's important for me to be in good shape when I return to the team," he said, suggesting that he wasn't 100%.
Fortunately, head coach Enze Postecoglou said in his pre-match press conference, "All the players who were called up to the national team are back and the medical reports are good. There are no major problems in terms of fitness," he said, suggesting that there were no specific injury concerns for the entire squad, including Son Heung-min.
The local media echoed the sentiment. Statistical outlet WhoScored.com predicted Tottenham's starting lineup against Fulham on Nov. 21 and placed Son up front.
The site predicted a 4-2-3-1, with Son joining the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, James Maddison, and Dejan Kluczewski in the Fulham goal. 슬롯사이트
