Description
Yes, of course, I was hoping this would be a real Carry On movie too, but sadly it wasn't. It's patently farcical. Perhaps author TJ Fixman (responsible for past classics such as the films Ratchet & Clank) doesn't know what else a "carry-on" is. You can stream this movie on Afdah Info. Examples: thrash, stramash, followed by a small chuckle to avoid work. In the context of this straight-to-TV thriller set in an airport, a "carry-on" is any piece of luggage that a passenger takes onto an airliner, in this case a suitcase containing enough Novichok to kill 10,000 people. There's a memorable scene in which LAPD detective Elena Cole (a thankless role for the once-great Daniel Deadwyler) sits down and Googles Novichok as if it hadn't been in the news every day for eight years. If you're smart, you'll hardly be surprised if your country is taken over by an enemy. What Carry-On is crucially lacking is cunning. An unprepared Concourse Manager defeats a trained and armed assassin in hand-to-hand combat. This is Carry-On Die Hard and stupid DOA stuff.
