Description
In 1996, Owen, a seventh-grader, meets Maddy, a ninth-grader who is obsessed with The Pink Opaque, a TV show about two girls battling monsters. Owen becomes a fan after watching an episode at Maddy's house. Over the years, Maddy supplies him with tapes to keep up with the show, but they don't interact much.
